Frame Long Barrel Jeans – Review and Styling Inspiration

Part 1 of reviewing my denim collection

A few years ago, I bought a pair of barrel leg jeans from The Gap and ever since then I’ve been intrigued with the shape. Although I love them, the pair from the Gap are cropped (similar to most barrel jeans), which is not what I’m generally looking for. I went down a rabbit hole looking for a pair that were full length and stumbled upon the Long Barrel jeans by Frame.

The Frame Long Barrel jeans have a 30 inch inseam which is more than full length on me (I’m 5”3’). Given that they taper in at the bottom of the leg, I don’t mind that they are a little long on me. If you are on the taller side, Frame also makes an Extra Long Barrel with a 35 inch inseam. They are 100% rigid cotton, so I would definitely recommend sizing up 1 size in these. These jeans were so great I bought them in both of the colors they have – blue denim and black. Note that I’ve found the blue pair to fit tighter than the black so maybe size up 2 sizes in the blue.

Other than the sizing discrepancy, I think these jeans are perfect. The denim is the softest I’ve ever felt and the fit is better than anything else I’ve found. They are also super easy to add into my wardrobe and go with anything. You can dress them up with a blazer or go for a more chill look with a crop top. I love the baggy fit in the leg that tapers in towards the hem.

If you are considering adding these to your collection, I would 100% recommend them. They are the type of jeans you’ll wear multiple times a week (or at least you’ll want to). I have even gone so far as to send Frame an email requesting they make these jeans in more colors 😂. No luck so far, but I’ll keep an eye out!

I posted a video reviewing my whole denim collection on YouTube. But I’ll be doing more in-depth reviews here on the blog for some of my favorites. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to let me know. Thanks for reading!
