Anyone who knows me would not be surprised to know that I’m gearing up for the Beyonce concert later this month. I’ve been a fan of hers since childhood, and I get the feeling that she won’t be touring again for awhile. Not sure why, I just get the vibe that she’s ready to do something new. More on that some other time.
Anyway, I, like so many other people around the country have been contemplating what the heck to wear to the show. There are a few constraints as far as I’m concerned. First, this thing takes place in the dead of summer. So while my silver cowboy boots are on trend, I’m not trying to faint, even in service of Mrs. Knowles-Carter.
Second, for some reason artists say they’re coming to New York, but actually hold their concerts in Giant’s Stadium, which is in New Jersey. Driving would be a hassle and extremely expensive since it costs $40 just to park. So the next best option is public transit, meaning I need something comfortable for the long schlep on the train. Last, and most importantly, I want to look cute as hell. So I’m sharing a few outfit ideas that I think fit that criteria.
I’m especially proud because I bought NOTHING new for any of these looks. So if you are thinking about what to wear, I would encourage you to rummage through the back of your closet because chances are you have some goodies back there. And shoot, we paid enough for the damn tickets. No need to spend even more on an outfit. Also, the only outfit that really counts at the show is Blue Ivy’s anyway. Let’s be realistic here.
